Congratulations to the seven Moore Middle School students who had works of art accepted into the 2018 Scholastic Art Awards of Nebraska! “The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are presented by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers. Their mission is to identify students with exceptional artistic and literary talent and present their remarkable work to the world through the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Through the Awards, students receive opportunities for recognition, exhibition, publication, and scholarships”.

This year there were nearly 3,700 entries from across the state and only about 30% of the works were chosen by panels of local artists, art professors, and retired art educators. Details for the recognition ceremonies scheduled for February 24th at Omaha Public School’s District Building will be announced soon!
