Please remind your student that they are expected to use their assigned lockers and locks.  Lincoln Public Schools are not responsible for lost or stolen articles.  Please review the locker information and expectations taken from the Moore Middle School Handbook below:

“Lockers will be assigned by the office.  Students are expected to use the assigned locker and not share or change lockers with any other student for the entire school year.  Students are responsible for the cost of locks if they are lost, stolen or damaged.  The replacement cost is $5.00.  Students are also responsible for any damage to the locker itself (for example, physical damage or use of tape, magic markers, etc, on or inside the locker).”

“The locker and lock are the property of the school district.  A locker may be open for inspection at any time there is any question as to improper use of the locker.  Any inappropriate items found in a locker are considered to be in possession of the person assigned to that locker and disciplinary actions may occur.  These guidelines also apply to lockers assigned in locker rooms.  Lincoln Public Schools does not provide insurance for personal items.  Please do not bring large amounts of money or other valuable items to school.  Lincoln Public Schools is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.  This includes air pods, gaming devices, and cell phones.”

Lincoln Public Schools families,

To help keep you informed of important deadlines and reminders, we will send you information on the last Friday of each month. Here is an index to help you navigate this month’s update:

Access to fourth quarter grades in ParentVUE

On May 29, the Lincoln Public Schools will switch the student information system to the Summer School term. This means that up until that time, families can review final grades in the ParentVUE Report Card tab. After that date, you can access final grade information from the Documents tab or Course History tab in ParentVUE.

End-of-year Chromebook information

MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS
Middle school students will return their Chromebooks at the end of this school year and recover the same device when they return next fall. As the end of the year draws closer, please make sure your student can locate the charger (2 pieces), the bag/carrying case, and the Chromebook that was issued to them at the beginning of the year. More details will be shared with students and families through official communications in the coming weeks.

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
REMINDER: Only graduating students will return their Chromebooks at the end of the school year. As the end of the year draws closer, please make sure your student can locate the charger (2 pieces), the bag/carrying case, and the Chromebook that was issued to them at the beginning of the year. More details will be shared with students and families through official communications in the coming weeks.

All other returning students (currently in grades 9-11) will keep their Chromebooks during the summer.

REMINDER: School physicals

It is time to schedule your students’ school physical for next school year! All students benefit from an annual wellness exam.

Families of kindergarten and seventh grade students for the 2024-2025 school year need to provide evidence of a physical examination completed by a physician, physician assistant, or an advance practice registered nurse to the school your child attends – or will attend.  There are required immunizations needed for school that are given to kindergarteners and seventh grade students during their school physical.

All students must be current with all school required immunizations and provide proof to the school. There are many resources available and the school nurse can assist you if you have questions.

Please note that high school athletic physicals need to be completed after May 1st to be eligible for the 2024-2025 sports season.

Check it off your to-do list: Kindergarten registration for 2024-25

Do you have a child – or do you know of a child – that will start kindergarten next year? Lincoln Public Schools is now accepting kindergarten registrations for the 2024-2025 school year.
